How to Setup (Detailed Guide)

1. Server Installation

1. Extract: Download the "ShadowCore" .7z or .rar file and extract it to a folder (e.g., C:\ShadowCore). Do not place it in Program Files.

2. Start Database:

   • Run the file named Start MySQL.bat (or similar).

   • Important: Let this window run. Do not close it.

3. Run Updates (If needed):

   • If you downloaded the "Update" files, copy them into your folder now and overwrite the old files.

   • Run the Database-Updater.bat and wait for the "Update Complete" message.

4. Start the World:

   • Run Start Auth Server.bat.

   • Run Start World Server.bat.

   • Wait for the beep or "World Initialized" message.

2. Connecting (Choose Your Client)

• Option A: Standard 1.12.1 Client (Download link below)

  • Open your realmlist.wtf file.

  • Set it to: set realmlist 127.0.0.1

  • Launch WoW.exe.

• Option B: Modern 1.14 Client (HermesProxy)

  • Note: This requires the Arctium Launcher and HermesProxy (usually included in the repack's Tools folder).

  • Open HermesProxy.config and ensure the target server is 127.0.0.1.

  • Launch HermesProxy first.

  • Launch the 1.14 Client using the Arctium Launcher.

  • Log in.

🤖 Bot Commands & Management

The Easy Way (PCP Addon) This repack relies on the PCP (PartyBot Command Panel) addon.

1. Install the PCP folder into your client's Interface\AddOns folder.

2. In-game, you will see a UI panel to invite bots, set their roles (Tank/Heal), and order them to attack.

3. Note: The addon automatically detects if you are on 1.12 or 1.14.

BattleBot Commands (PvP) To fill a battleground with bots, type these GM commands in chat:

• .battlebot add "Warsong Gulch" horde (Adds bots to Horde side)

• .battlebot add "Warsong Gulch" alliance (Adds bots to Alliance side)

• Tip: You can replace "Warsong Gulch" with "Arathi Basin" or "Alterac Valley".

  1. Extract 7zip file and copy all the content into the repack folder, overwrite all old files!
  2. Important! Star MySQL-Server with .bat file first!
  3. Run Database-Updater and wait until it's done, and u see the update complete message.

❓ FAQ & Troubleshooting

Q: My bots are standing still and not helping.

• A: Ensure you have assigned them a role via the PCP addon or chat commands. You may also need to issue the "Order" command. Try typing .partybot order follow or use the UI to set them to "Grind/Assist" mode.

Q: Can I play with friends?

• A: Yes. You need to change the realmlist in the database to your LAN IP (using HeidiSQL) and ensure your firewall allows ports 3724 (Auth) and 8085 (World).

Q: I get an error connecting with the 1.14 client.

• A: Ensure HermesProxy is running before you launch the game. Also, verify that your Config.wtf in the 1.14 client has SET portal "127.0.0.1".

Q: Where do I get the 1.14 Client?

• A: You can download a standard "WoW Classic Era" client, but you must launch it via Arctium Launcher (often provided in VMaNGOS tools) to bypass the official Battle.net check.
